music
With music playing such a huge part of my life in years past, I feel its a waste I haven't picked up my bass in months. Oklahoma City's own Charlie Hall had a CD release show Sunday night in Edmond and it stirred up memories of when I used to be on stage.

I love what I do and I think the joke is on my employer(s). They actually pay me to run around with a camera and talk to interesting people.
The down side though is my addiction to work. I keep feeding this idea that I have to constantly be making or trying something new. My buddies at RedHouse took this pic back in January 2007 and it pretty much represents what I'm doing when I'm not sleeping.

Music is just one of those things. It guided me through highschool as I spent hours on end in the band room and on the marching field. It helped pay for some of my college education and was the vehicle for my world travels with ORU Music Ministries.

I'm SO sad I missed Charlie Hall. I mean, it sucks to just have to buy the cd on itunes without the live show.
But, not as sad as it makes me when I think about not having Tanner in my physical life...and by that I mean just around me to hang out with, not anything else.
ahem, awkward... ;)
So why don't you pick up that bass again?!?
